Volodymyr Granovsky was born in 1964 in the city of Zaporizhzhia, in the southeast of Ukraine. He began writing short stories and poems as a teenager and even sent his work to newspaper editorial offices, though none were accepted for publication. Yet the dream of becoming a writer remained.

In 2011, Volodymyr returned to writing and began actively creating poems and fairy-tale prose for children. Over the years, he has written prose and poetry for around twenty children's books, most of which were published in Ukraine. Several of his books (eBooks and audiobooks) are available in online stores.

Today, Volodymyr Granovsky lives in London, where he continues writing for Ukrainian publishers and works on translating his own works into English.
